This project was really a bit adventure and experiment. I was inspiered by the colors, textures and history in this months challenge at Berry71Bleu and wanted to replicate this in an unexpected way. When I found my doughters plastic dressform the experiment started (she was a bit sad that I took it, but was full of joy when she got it back looking a tiny bit different...).
I built up the "dress" by layering acrylic paints from IndigoBlu in differnt color (gold, silver, white & copper) with tissue paper that I got from my local Flower shop. By wrinkeling the paper and "brushing" it on with paint I got it to stick and the colors and layers to blend.
I added more texture by using glass glitter that I painted with Glimmer Glam (Golden Goddess) and sprayed with Glimmer Mist (Precious Metal).
Don´t you just love the crackled gold/copper effect on the wings? I painted the chipboard with matte actylics from IndigoBlu, then stamped with FlitterGlu and a Finnabair stamp. The golden/copper comes from MegaFlakes (you can watch a video about how to use it here).
Well I must say I love how this adventure ended! I hope you find the challenge picture as inpiering as I did!
Thank you for visiting today.
I have used products from IndigoBlu (acrylics, Mega Flakes, Flitter Glu), Tattered Angels (GlimmerMist & Glimmer Glam), Finnabair for Prima Marketing (Glass Glitter, stamp), Sa Crafters (Wings).
