I want to share my favorite craft products with you today. Using products that I really love is essential - otherwise your creativity will take a break. I´m not that person that necessarily use new stuff - I have things I bought years ago that still are the ones I use most. And I don´t think I am "trendy" - I use what appeals to me - that´s it! I don´t care if it is something that is "popular" or not - if I like them - I like them so to speak.
I have divided this post in 3 parts - basics, inks and all the other stuff.
Basics
I can´t live without Gesso! I have 3 yars of gesso that I use daily.
This gesso is thin. It´s perfect to mix with water to get a almost clear gesso. And it is perfect to paint with.
This gesso is perfect to cover and paint with. It dries matte, almost like chalkboard.
I love that this is thick. I use it to mix with inks, to cover mistakes and to add dimension by adding it trough a stencil.
Easy to apply. Lasts forever. I bought my 3 years ago and still have more than half left!
Works for pretty much everything ...
For adding flowers, metal, chipboard etc. I have a small.
Inks
Spray inks
I love everyone from Tattered Angels. Glimmer Mists is translucent with a touch of glimmer. Baseboard is semi-opaque with out glimmer. Chalkboard is semi-opaque with glimmer. Simply Sheer is like glimmer mist without the glimmer.
Acrylic Paints
I use them to paint, cover, mixed with water to splatter, mixed with water to get a thin layer of paint. I love the English Cottage Paints from IndigoBlu - comes in both Metallic and Matte finish.
Paints to highlight
I use them to highlight or get a textured surface. Tattered Angels has several really good. High Impact is like acryics on steroids, sticks to EVERYTHING and comes both in matte and metallic. Glimmer Glam is sheer tinted with chunky glitter in it. It sticks to anything and dries all shiny and gorgeous. Glimmer Glaze is like a nail polish - a top coat that dries with a metallic finish.
Water solvable inks
I primary use two types. Inktense Blocks from Derwent & Staedtler Karat Aquarell Pencils.
