I´m so happy to be Aprils guest designer at 7 Dot´s Studio! I love their products and always find so much inspiration creating with them.
One of my projects was this page made with the Messy Head line. I love the papers and embellishments from that line - they are fun and funky at the same time as they are so versatile. You can use them for a mixed media project, a romantic page or for a clean and simple page - fits for everything!!
I started by applying a thin layer of gesso on the area of the paper I would use. After drying with the heater I glued on strips of torn tissue paper (the trick is not to press down to hard, and to add a lot of clear drying adhiesive). After a couple of minutes drying time (don´t use the heater – the paper will burn….) I randomly applied glue over the tissue paper strips, sprinkled some embossing powder and dried it all with the theater. After this I got a background effect that reminds a bit of distressed copper. Finishing up the background effect with stamps and a bit of different mediums before adding the decorations.
Material used: Patterned papers; 7 Dot´s Studio Messy Head (Big Words). Embellishments; 7 Dot´s Studio Messy Head Element stickers & Alphas. 7 Dot´s Studio 9th Wave Bingo Card. Prima Marketing Flowers & Stamps. Inkido feathers. Zing embossing powder.
