Linnie Blooms January Sketch

Once in a while I enjoy making a what I call "good to have" card. You know that kind of card you give your mom when she asks if you have a card suitable to give to her neighbor who has been ill or something like that. I have used the January sketch at Linnie Blooms as my inspiration for this.

The card base is just plane cardstock which I added a piece of old American Crafts patterned paper on. Then I used the Sunflower bloom as my "backdrop" after coloring it with 13@rts spray ink. The little heart was stamped at first, then I filled with clear varnish and sprinkled Ayeeda golden microspheres to get texture. The two butterflies are really just one piece from the beginning. I used the big canvas butterfly and cut out a smaller butterfly in the center. The big piece was covered with gesso and while it still was wet I sprinkled some golden embossing powder over.

Hope I could inspire you to make your interpretation of the sketch!
